Upgrades:

    AIM has a verity of upgrades available, from installing higher resolution liner scales to taking your optics and installing them on a completely different platform (going from a non measuring 4”x 4” stand to a 12”x 12” automated measuring tool).

We can add a variety of optical upgrades:

DIC (differential interference contrast)

Dark field

Fluoresces

Sub-illumination

EPI (coaxial illumination)

Trinocular head (binocular with an accessory port)

Camera adaptors

Changing magnification (mag-changers, different objectives, different eyepieces)

Custom optical systems (dual optical or very small VMAs (Video microscope assembly))

Complete optical packages (new or used)

*Mechanical upgrades:

    Custom staging in 4’’x 4’’, 6’’x 6’’, 8’’x 8’’, 12’’x 12’’ cross roller bearing stages (motorized or manual motion) and many other configurations and types. AIM also can install, or add, new linear encoders (for X, Y, Z, and R down to a 10^th of a micron). We can also motorize any axis, including focus.

Video:

    AIM has many video options and enhancements. We can install 35mm, Polaroid, CCD or digital cameras on just about any inspection tool. AIM also can install video capture or Vision X automated measurement software (a full motor and video control tool).

  We at AIM take a different approach to inspection solutions. We don’t take your sample and try to fit it to an inspection tool, we build the inspection tool around your measuring needs.

Education:

     AIM offers classes in proper use of a microscope to individuals or groups. Get the most out of your tool through learning how to set your scope to optimize the image. Please contact us for class rates.
