Section 1: PM (Preventive Maintenance Service)

What is a PM?

Preventive Maintenance service for your optical inspection tool is like getting your car's oil changed. You don’t have the oil changed because it is broken, you bring it in to maintain your cars well running condition and to prevent costly repairs later. We can usually find problems before they become costly repairs.

Why should you have PM service?

Optical inspection tools have mechanical components that need to be periodically adjusted and lubricated, and optical components that need (*proper) cleaning. Greases lacquer in time and oil dries out making components hard to move. If it takes more force to use the tool, then you could be over stressing the mechanical components, and could incur a costly repair. If optical components are not clean, eyestrain and bad resolution can occur.

PM service from the experts at AIM:

Aim’s factory trained service staff (from 15 to 33 years working on microscopes) has the expertise and the experience to maintain and service your inspection tools. We are not only factory-authorized service for Leica, we have service staff members that have factory training at Olympus as well. We also work on Nikon, American Optical, Mitutoyo, Unitron, Bausch & Lomb, Zeiss, McBain, PPL and many others.
