AIM can take your old tired and out of spec. equipment and bring it back to factory condition. We will take your instrument completely apart and inspect critical components, replace worn out or broken components (i.e., new linear bearing, gears and springs as needed) clean and align the optics, lubricate, adjust and reassemble the piece of equipment.
Same as above but we can repaint, re-anodize, and/or regrind work surfaces (Scratched and worn top plates). AIM may suggest replacement of liner bearings or re-grinding of the bearing mounting surfaces. We can also replace high wear items like eyepieces and stage glass. The Deluxe rebuild service is like getting a new machine!
Due to such a variance of cost of parts between different brands and the variable level of interment condition, for rebuilds we inspect and quote you an accurate price. Remember: The cost of even a Deluxe rebuild is usually considerably less than the price of replacement or the original price of the instrument.
